What they are
A cookie is a small piece of text a site saves in your browser so it can remember something between pages or between visits.
Alongside it, a site can write to the browser's local storage, which is never sent to the server at all.
What this site uses
This is the list as it stands on the published site today:
- Display mode (light or dark)
- Your choice is saved in local storage under the key fkah-theme. It is not sent to us; its job is to stop the screen flashing on load.
- Language
- The language is part of the address: Arabic at the root, English under /en. We do not use a cookie to decide it and we do not detect it from your browser.
- Form protection
- On pages with a form, the verification provider may set a technical cookie to tell a person from a script. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
- Analytics
- Anonymous visit measurement with no tracking cookies, per the planned setup. The final provider and whether it sets anything: [TODO]
- Advertising and cross-site tracking
- None. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and share no identifiers with ad platforms.
How to control them
You can delete this site's cookies and local storage from your browser settings at any time, or block them in advance.
Clearing local storage means the display mode falls back to your system setting. Nothing else on the site stops working.
Consent
The site shows no consent banner today, because it uses no advertising or analytics cookies that would require prior consent.
When a consent banner and a consent record become required under the Personal Data Protection Law once analytics or any third-party tool is added: [TODO — counsel]
Changes to this page
We update this list whenever we add anything that writes to your browser, and we date the revision at the top.
